This is the biggest no brainer in customer follow-up, but the truth is most professionals ignore leads. They just don’t act quickly. There are a million excuses. The biggest, is “I keep getting their answering machine” Or “ We play phone tag”.

Well, you know what send them an application or brochure in the mail. Make it stand out. Or, send them a card introducing yourself. If it is a lead that has not seen you, or is a remote lead, then send a card with your picture in it, and make them know you personally, not as a impersonal vice on the voice mail.

You better stay in front of this lead by mail, email, and phone, until they tell you to stop or someone else will get them.

They will quickly turn into either a “dead’ or inactive prospect or a client, at that point utilize your drip campaigns to maximize your referrals and potential for future business.
